A St. Louis Farewell in Wedding Form
Neither Chad nor I are originally from St. Louis, but we both found a home there. And more importantly, we found each other. When we decided to get married, we went back and forth about eloping, but in the end we decided we wanted to celebrate with our people, in our city. As we planned our wedding, we decided to try to throw the best party we could and celebrate with as many of our friends as possible. Here's what it looked like.
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place at Lemon Gem's upstairs event space in the Grove. The space was perfect for our group of about 30 people (family and wedding party only). My brother was the officiant and he landed a couple of good jokes and said some very sweet things.
The Wedding Party
We each had three of our best friends with us for the ceremony (four of whom came in from out of town). We all got dolled up and took some pictures in Tower Grove Park.
The Celebration
Central Print in Old North was the perfect venue for our reception. We hosted about 110 people and at least some of them joined in on the dance party.
